I believe the new ME game should give us the opportunity to go farther in the universe. ME series were surely vast, but environmental exploration was, to a certain degree, tied by/to the story. I sure wish for the new ME story to be interesting, but maybe less epic and fatal for the Galaxy than the one in the original trilogy. Something to keep the players' attention, yet still letting us to be even more consumed by the lore of the ME universe. Combat was OK in all of the games, customisation I found best in ME1. And a mention of Shepard and his crew and maybe some easter eggs referring to the original ME trilogy would be welcome by many players, I believe.
